Members and visitors gave a warm welcome to Ken Scott, in the hope they would come away from the evening with increased knowledge and advice on how to improve their photography skills. They were certainly not disappointed. Ken, with his relaxed style, engaged the audience throughout showing a variety of images, while asking the audience for comments on each one as well as giving his own interpretation.
Ken was also keen to discuss the fundamental precepts for judging photographs including, impact, creativity, style, composition, lighting, etc. as well as what judges will be looking for. The evening came to a close all too soon, and grateful thanks go to Ken for such an entertaining and constructive presentation. I am sure everyone will be able to implement some of Ken’s advice and techniques into their own creative photography.
