Outing – Amberley Wild Brooks

This time our walk was around Amberley Wild Brooks and the Village.

The weather went from cool in the breeze to warm when sheltered from it, so it made it difficult to decide what tops to wear. And whilst the Wild Brooks are known for their water, it was a little wetter than expected due to the recent heavy rainfall. However, as promised we saw some deer and a Grey Heron, so that made it a success. We also spotted a Kestrel, Red Kites, Kingfisher, Cormorant and several other animals.

The walk itself was an out-and-back to the middle of Amberley Wild Brooks. On the way back we took a detour to visit a view point next to the River Arun, and then walked South for an alternative view of Amberley Castle (from the North). Once back in Amberley Village we visited the 12th Century, before returning to the Tea Room.
