Outing – Littlehampton East Beach

On a cold morning with flat light morning a group of us took a walk along Littlehampton’s East Beach. We started by going around the Oyster Pond boating lake, which had inconveniently had its bright yellow paddle boats removed. We needed some saturated colour to cheer up the day. So we went on to Riverside Fishmongers. From here we headed south to the Lighthouse and jetty, before heading into the cold easterly and continuing along the beach to Mewsbrook park. On the way there was some respite, in the shape of the brightly coloured beach huts on the seafront. We then took a walk around the lake in Mewsbrook park before heading west, back to the start. On the way to Mewsbrook park and on the way back, being impressed by the hardy souls willing to go for a swim.

A cold day, but with warm company. Here are a few of our efforts. Click on any of these to see a larger version.
