This evening we welcomed both old and newer members to the Zoom evening, and it was good to see some new faces. Liz gave a very interesting demonstration on how to produce a ‘panel’ using ‘Lightroom’, and viewing the live ‘on screen’ instructions made the process very easy to follow and certainly gave members an insight into producing their own panels via this method. This was the first evening we actually held a ‘virtual’ club competition, namely the ‘Make it your Own’ Competition, which went very smoothly. This is a fun club event and gives members the opportunity to show their creative talents by manipulating a base picture and turning it into their own ‘masterpiece’. We saw some great adaptations – from ghostly figures in the woods, to jellyfish floating around the night sky – an amazing sight. Following a slideshow of ten entries, members voted for their favourites by a show of ‘virtual’ hands, and the top three selected are as follows:
1st Place – Martion Minions by Kathy Bignell
2nd Place – Pooh’s Honey Hunt by Jackie Tourle
3rd Place – Keeping Watch by Jackie Tourle
Grateful thanks were given to all those who submitted entries, to Rob for collating and presenting all the images, and to Vince for keeping accurate scores. We look forward to seeing you all again next time.
