A somewhat rhetorical question, posed a few months back, led to a number of the club’s advanced photographers holding a discussion about what led them to this point in their photographic journey.
Presentations gave insight into changes in equipment used over the years, preferred types of photography, how software can help or hinder, the benefits of belonging to a camera club, member’s individual routes to advanced and the options for further development such as a photographic qualification or membership of a senior society. It was a very interactive evening with some excellent feedback and ideas from all members and gave new members an opportunity to think about their own progress in terms of improving their images and gaining recognition for their efforts.
Overall an absorbing evening which overran time, which is always a good sign! The club wishes to thank the presenters and projectionist for making it an interesting evening and for all the ideas and feed back from members.
Note, one of our advanced members pointed to a downloadable document for self assessment of images on our own website here
