Ronald Cain Competition

By | 7th March 2018

In spite of the last minute unavailability of our judge, we had a very successful evening.

A variety of images from the Worthing area were constructively critiqued by Maureen and Vince and the members then voted secretly for each image.

The tallying of scores resulted in a clear winner for individual images: Mike Doyle for his long exposure of “Worthing Pier” (19.2/20) – well done Mike!

This was followed by Dave Burton’s “Angry Sea” (18.2/20) and joint thirds (18.1/20) for Mirza Khurrum Baig’s “Tranquil” and “Under The Pier”.

Interestingly, when all scores are taken into account (averaged for number of entries), Mike remains the highest scorer (18.1/20) followed by Khurrum (18.0/20) Barry Dewdney (17.2/20) and Mike Ghibaldan (17.0/20).

It was great evening made possible by club members rallying around to enable the competition to go ahead, so many thanks to all participants.
