On Tuesday we held or 3rd and final Print Merit Competition of the season, with members competing within their respective groups: Beginners; Intermediate; and Advanced. Yet again, it was great to see such strong participation across the club, demonstrating a wide variety of skills, subjects and genres.
We received an impressive 54 entries:
- Beginners: 6 images
- Intermediate: 21 images
- Advanced: 27 images
Our judge was Ken Scott of Steyning Camera Club. As the trainer of all Judges within Southern Counties, Ken brings a wealth of experience to judging Camera Club competitions and everyone was very complimentary about his criticvs and feedback. A sincere thank you to Ken from the Committee and all of the members who were there on the evening.
After reviewing each class, Ken selected a winner for each group:
- Beginner: David P – “It’s Bluegrass time”
- Intermediate: Dominic Windsor – “Venice Back Alley”
- Advanced: Linda Kristine – “Lensball Play”
From these individual class winners, Ken then selected the Overall Winner of the night, which went to Linda Kristine, with “Lensball Play”. Congratulations to all of the Winners, and to everyone who submitted prints on the night.
