PDI Merit Competition – Judge Paul Bradley
We were pleased to welcome Paul Bradley to judge our 2nd PDI Merit competition of the season. Paul is a member of Niton & District Camera Club and an accredited Southern Photographic Federation Judge.
As this was a Merit competition the images were submitted under three categories of photographer – Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. We had a total of 78 entries for the competition: 26 Beginners; 25 Intermediate and 27 Advanced. We had 38 attendees in total, including Paul Bradley. Whilst there were a great number of entries Paul gave constructive feedback on every image, in every class. Giving hints and tips throughout the evening.
Following the judging, Paul selected his favourites from each category (those held back) and from them the Winner from each Group (see below). His ‘Best in Competition’ went to Nick Beardmore with ‘The Matriarch’. It was a long evening and we are grateful to Paul for all of the constructive feedback he gave.
The winners from each group category were:
Beginners – Daniel Sawyer “Ballast to Parkend”
Intermediate – Nick Beardmore “The Matriarch”
Advanced – John Nalaskowski “Wood Anemone”
All of the entries can be seen in the Gallery
Congratulations to all of the winners, and to all of our members for entering such an amazing collection of images. They are getting stronger and stronger as the year progresses.
Our very grateful thanks go to Paul for his excellent judging, comments and critique of all the images and we would also like to send a very big thank you to all our members for continuing to support our club.
