1st Print Merit Competition – Judge Pietro Rocchiccioli DPAGB EFIAP
We were very pleased to welcome our judge for the evening, Pietro Rocchiccioli DPAGB EFIAP. Pietro is a member of Chichester Camera Club and an accredited Southern Photographic Federation Judge.
As this was a Merit competition the images were submitted under three categories of photographer – Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. We had a total of 47 Prints entered (7 in the Beginners’ class; 19 in the Intermediate Class; and 21 in the Advanced Class. The standard of entries was excellent. Pietro gave very detailed and constructive feedback on every image. Providing hints and tips throughout the evening. Following the competition itself Pietro also took a few questions and displayed a couple of his own Prints to emphasise key points when selecting images for Printing.
Following the judging in each class Pietro selected the Class winner. The three class winners went forward for the ‘Best in Competition’, which went to Mirza Khurrum Baig’s image “Sealed with a Kiss”.

Beginners – Richard Clegg “She said – ‘I’ll only be a minute’.”;
Intermediate – Nick Beardmore “Crossness, the cathedral on the marshes”; and
Advanced – Mirza Khurrum Baig “Sealed with a Kiss”
