Speaker – Sussex Landscapes and Street Photography (James Ratchford)

During the first half of the presentation, James will showcase his compilation of Landscape photographs captured in the South Downs and along the South Coast. James will elaborate on his methodology of examining a location and what he searches for when capturing landscape images. He will also discuss the role of light and lines in the landscape and how repeatedly visiting the same spot can lead to remarkable outcomes.
In the second half of the talk, James will present a variety of his street photographs, including a few sets of related works. He will disclose his purpose, what caught his attention in the subject, and his technique when capturing these images.
