Janina shares practical guidance on camera settings and creative approaches\, while encouraging photographers to experiment\, play\, and trust their instincts. With a rich selection of images and behind-the-scenes insights\, the talk is suitable for photographers of all levels who want to push their creativity and explore new ways of working. \nJanina Wilde is an award-winning educator with over 25 years of experience in education and seven years specialising in multiple exposure photography. DESCRIPTION:A Critique Night offers members the opportunity to share their photographic work in a supportive\, small-group setting\, focused on constructive feedback and collaborative learning. You are invited to bring a small selection of images (prints or digital files) to present to the group. \nWe are divided into smaller groups to encourage open discussion and ensure each image receives thoughtful attention. Each image is viewed in turn\, with the author given the option to introduce their image and outline any specific areas where feedback is sought. \nDiscussion is guided by principles of respectful and constructive critique. Members are encouraged to highlight strengths\, explore compositional and technical aspects\, and suggest possible improvements or alternative approaches. The emphasis is on learning\, inspiration\, and the sharing of ideas rather than formal judging. \nCritique Nights are suitable for photographers of all levels\, offering a relaxed and engaging environment to develop skills\, gain fresh perspectives\, and build confidence in presenting and discussing photographic work.

SUMMARY:Outing: Hotham Park\, Bognor Regis
DESCRIPTION:A relaxed photowalk through Hotham Park\, one of Bognor Regis’s most photogenic locations. The park offers a diverse range of subjects\, from historic architecture to natural landscapes and detailed close-up opportunities. \nOur walk will include the elegant Hotham Park House\, built in 1792 by Sir Richard Hotham\, where the distinctive clock tower provides excellent opportunities for architectural studies\, silhouettes\, and creative framing through the surrounding trees. Throughout the grounds\, the impressive wooden carvings of Alice in Wonderland characters offer engaging subjects for portrait-style compositions\, selective focus techniques\, and candid images of visitors interacting with the sculptures. \nThe park’s boating lake can provide beautiful reflections of the sky and surrounding trees\, particularly in calm conditions or after rainfall\, making it an ideal setting for landscape photography. We will also explore the restored Mediterranean and Tropical Gardens\, home to a wide variety of specimen trees and seasonal flowers\, offering plenty of opportunities for close-up\, macro\, and nature photography. \nSuitable for photographers of all abilities\, this photowalk encourages participants to experiment with composition\, light\, reflections\, architectural detail\, and creative close-up techniques in a varied and attractive park setting.

SUMMARY:Outing: Mill Hill Nature Reserve\, Shoreham-by-sea
DESCRIPTION:A renowned local beauty spot near Shoreham-by-Sea\, one of Sussex’s most spectacular chalk grassland habitats. The reserve offers panoramic views across the Adur Valley and Shoreham. It is particularly well known for its butterfly population\, with more than half of Britain’s butterfly species recorded there\, including the beautiful Adonis Blue and Chalkhill Blue. We will have many photographic opportunities: macro photography; landscapes; and capture the rich variety of wildflowers and birdlife that make this site so special.
