Visit to Parham
On Tuesday evening, several members met up at the rear entrance to Parham House near Storrington. It was a beautiful evening and if nothing else we enjoyed a very pleasant walk through the estate along the road and footpath for about two and a half hours. However, it was more than a walk and there were landscapes, architecture and wildlife to photograph and discussions on getting the right shot using the available light from the setting sun and the long shadows it produced. We did see deer (albeit briefly), a buzzard, rabbits, a heron, ducks and water fowl and as the sun went down, several bats emerged, though watching Vince try and capture an image of a bat in the near-dark was quite entertaining.
It was a very pleasant evening and thanks to those who arranged it and members who attended.
