Coming Up

The following Club events have been organised for the remainder of the 2020/21 season. Please don’t forget you are still welcome to join talks arranged by Middleton, Steyning and Chichester for payment of a small fee via their websites. Other clubs may also be offering this facility. Worthing Camera Club activities are listed below:

9th March – Speaker – Tony Baverstock

Tony gained his LRPS around 30 years ago, he has more recently gained his ARPS and regularly assists with the RPS Group at Chichester.  Tony will show us how he manipulates prints ready for competition to the level needed for the Licientate, he has some Before and After photos which he will share with us.  Even if you do not want to think about trying for an LRPS there should be some good hints and tips for all of us to improve our competition entries.

23rd March PDI Set Subject – Judge: tbc

This year’s set subject is Patterns and Shapes – This could be the pattern of a leaf’s veins, field layouts, bricks, roofs, shapes of anything indoors or out, the main focus of your image should be the pattern. Details on how, and when, to submit entries will be sent via the email in the usual way.

13th April – Annual PDI Competition – Judge: Tony Baverstock

The Annual PDI Competition gives members a chance to submit their best PDI images that may have been entered in either a Merit or a Set Subject Competition during the year, or it may be an entirely new image. Entries are submitted under the categories: General, Landscape, Nature, Portrait, and Monochrome, and members can submit all three entries in one category, or distribute them over two or three. A monochrome image can be submitted in any category. Members do not compete as Beginners, Intermediate, or Advanced, as all entries are judged on the same basis. This is a very popular Competition, and gives us another chance to see some beautiful images. Details on how, and when, to submit entries will be sent via the email in the usual way.

27th April  AGM – End of Season

The Committee will send out details of the AGM before the meeting.

We hope that you will join us via Zoom and enjoy the evenings from the comfort of your own home. Hopefully, we will be able to have some photo walks when we are allowed.

Keep safe and well
The Committee, Worthing Camera Club
