Worthing Camera Club Final PDI competition 2016/17

The final quarter of Worthing Camera Clubs’ Projected Digital Image competition was contested on the evening of 21st March 2017.  A total of seventy six images, with numbers evenly spread through the three categories, ( Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced) were seen, pondered over and eventually marked by our judge for the evening, Carole Speight.

Carole held back six images in the Beginners group and eventually awarded the top mark of 20 points to two of them.  These were:- ‘Rainbow bridge’ by Vince Knight and ‘St Marys Shoreham’ by Steve Brown.  Steve’s image went on to win best image in the Beginners group and was later awarded the title of best image of the evening. Well done Steve.

The Intermediate group also attracted two top marks.  These were ‘Birth of a poppy’ by Mike Ghibaldan, and ‘Inside Norwich cathedral’ from Peter Clark.  Peter Clark won the title for best in the Intermediates.

And finally, only one entry gained a top mark in the Advanced group.  This came from Sheila Higgs for her ‘Mystical crocus.’  You’ll not be surprised to learn that Sheila won best in the group.
