2nd Print Merit Competition

By | 17th January 2019

Our second print competition was a great success with Malcolm Bull’s insightful comments on our images. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming for the visitors and there was a good round of applause for our winners.

Malcolm’s comments on each photo were interesting and he made a particular point that we should be careful of our edges when we mount, so that everything is included and bits are not cut off.

There were 63 prints in all, including 30 in the beginners section . It is very encouraging to see so many lovely prints by our beginners.

The best of the night was “Can I Please Have a Tumble Dryer?” by Liz Farrow of the Advanced group.

Matthew Caig won the Intermediate with “Sedge Warbler”.

Brenda Humphreys won the Beginners section with “Small Tortoiseshell Feeding”.

Our thanks go to Malcolm for his judgements and all the entrants for great photos.
