1st PDI Merit Competition

By | 24th October 2019

Tuesday 22nd October was our first PDI (Projected Digital Image) competition of the new season, which proved to be a very entertaining evening. The response from members was amazing with nearly 100 images, the majority of which came from the beginner category. Our judge for the evening was Paul O’Toole, a former member of Worthing Camera Club, who managed to assess, critique and score so many images as well as ensuring an informative and entertaining evening. The standard of images was very high, particularly in the beginner category and he felt sure they would give the intermediate and advanced members ‘a run for their money’.

After much deliberation and some very close marking Paul’s ‘Best of the Evening’ went to Mia Frost for ‘And all of a sudden we were flying’. The winners from each group category are as follows:

Beginner: Mia Frost – ‘And all of a sudden we were flying’

Intermediate: Matt Frost – ‘Timber Moth’

Advanced: Keith Harris – ‘Political Debate’

All the results from the night can be found on the ‘Competitions’ tab/Results 2019/20.

Grateful thanks ……..

There are many ‘behind the scenes’ members who contribute to successful evenings such as these from laying out chairs to preparing and serving refreshments etc. However, we wouldn’t have such a successful evening if it wasn’t for Rob who receives, collates and presents all the images in the right order – thank you Rob.
